On one of the first free days I had in Barcelona, I decided to head up to Park Guell and see the view. I had been there before but I wanted to bring my camera to get better photos this time. I think it paid off because we were able to catch a very colorful sunset on a warm day. January is usually filled with snow and siting inside so it was a more than welcome exit from the ordinary for me.
The sun drapes over the western part of the city
The thing that amazed me most about the park was how Gaudi took the time to design something that would be walked over and abused by the element outdoors. The city that I fell in love with a few years ago reminded me immediately why I enjoyed it so much with its gritty beauty and sweeping landscapes.
